Job Summary

Carter Machinery Company is seeking a skilled Marine Field Technician to join our team in Chesapeake, Virginia. As a Marine Field Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing problems and performing standard mechanical repairs and complete overhauls on marine engines and propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in marine engines and propulsion systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine equipment
  • Work with limited supervision to complete tasks and meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Provide excellent customer satisfaction skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of two years' experience in engine repairs and diagnostics
  • Strong mechanical background and troubleshooting skills required
  • Excellent driving record and ability to work overtime as required
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver items up to 70 pounds
