Diesel Marine Technology Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified adjunct faculty member to teach diesel marine technology courses at Tidewater Community College. The successful candidate will have a strong background in marine diesel technology and the ability to communicate effectively with students.
Responsibilities- Teach diesel marine technology courses to students with a wide range of academic backgrounds and experiences.
- Develop and implement course materials and assessments that align with student learning outcomes.
- Provide prompt and meaningful feedback to students on their progress and performance.
- Hold office hours to meet with students and provide additional support.
- Participate in college-wide initiatives and activities to promote student success.
- Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Two years of related work experience in marine diesel technology.
- Certification and documented work experience and training in areas such as small and large outboard gasoline engines, inboard engine systems, stern drives, marine electrical systems, and marine maintenance.
- Ability to communicate effectively in an electronic format.
- Teaching experience at the college level.
- Knowledge of CANVAS or other learning management systems.
- Knowledge of proven teaching strategies that promote student success.
- Candidates should possess sufficient technology skills to work productively in an organization that utilizes significant information and instructional technology resources.
