Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team in the San Francisco Bay area. As a Senior Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in delivering an effective cost management service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate and Cost Planning: Provide accurate and detailed estimates and cost plans for electrical systems, including conceptual, programming, and detailed level estimates.
  • Electrical Estimating: Assist in the preparation of electrical estimates, including bid analysis, bid reports, and contractual documents.
  • Procurement Management: Manage all aspects of procurement, including pre-qualification, bid list creation, bid analysis, and contractual document compilation.
  • Cost Control: Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes, and ensure timely and accurate cost checking and valuation.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present to clients.
  • Value Engineering: Provide input into value engineering, negotiate and approve final accounts.
  • Liaison and Leadership: Maintain liaison with clients and other consultants at all project stages, and provide leadership to the cost management team when necessary.
Requirements
  • Technical Experience: Good technical experience in all cost management areas, including pre-contract, post-contract, and final account.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate solid presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCad Navisworks, and/or other related computer software.
  • Organization and Teamwork: Good organization skills, ability to multi-task, and be a team player.
  • Industry Knowledge: Good knowledge of all methods of construction procurement, and experience with advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
  • Education and Experience: College degree in Engineering, Construction Management with a Technical Focus, Quantity Surveyor, or related technical field, and experience working on large data center, commercial real estate, or relatable construction projects.
