Responsibilities

The role serves as a vital link between customers and the pharmacy, addressing inquiries related to orders, complaints, billing, and account issues.

Work Schedule: Varies - 3rd shift - Monday to Friday

Key Duties:

  1. Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve issues effectively.
  2. Collaborate with the pharmacy to secure necessary prescriptions for controlled substances.
  3. Address rejections, denials, and prior authorizations for Medicaid, Medicare D, or private insurance claims.
  4. Engage with potential patients for onboarding and assist with follow-up inquiries as directed by the Pharmacist In Charge.
  5. Act as the communication bridge regarding medication or coverage issues with various stakeholders.
  6. Provide training to staff to ensure compliance with company standards and enhance cross-functional skills.
  7. Maintain confidentiality of all patient and employee information to protect their rights.
  8. Assist with special projects as required.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Kentucky Pharmacy Technician Registration or eligibility.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
  • Experience in a multi-facility environment is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
