Position Summary
The Pharmacy Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in assisting pharmacy personnel and managing dispensing operations, particularly in the realm of automation. This position involves the development and coordination of Medvantx applications while ensuring the pharmacy information systems are effectively maintained in collaboration with the IT department. Regular meetings with relevant departments are essential, as this role serves as the primary contact for pharmacy-related support. The administrator is tasked with ensuring that all enterprise pharmacy applications are operationally sound, compatible with corporate infrastructure, and performing optimally.
Core Responsibilities
- Support and maintain Pharmacy applications, including the testing and deployment of updates, software modifications, and new version rollouts.
- Ensure the functionality of Pharmacy Systems applications and lead troubleshooting initiatives to uphold their operational integrity.
- Oversee upgrades of existing enterprise applications and communicate system status to leadership as necessary.
- Identify, assess, implement, and provide support for Pharmacy Systems applications.
- Manage projects related to Pharmacy Systems applications that range from simple to moderate complexity.
- Maintain an inventory of enterprise applications, ensuring version control and licensing compliance.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert in Pharmacy Systems applications projects, including multi-site geographic order routing and EDI integrations.
- Perform additional duties as required by business needs.

Essential Skills
- Expertise in core Pharmacy Systems operating on Windows platforms.
- Understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS) and Client/Server software architectures.
- Ability to manage and document projects and application implementations effectively.
- Familiarity with System Validation and test case development processes.
- Capacity to acquire application-specific knowledge.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in relationship-building and customer service.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer information systems or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT application development, analysis, and support.
Physical Requirements
- The physical demands of this position align with standard office activities: sitting, using a computer, keyboard, telephone, etc.
- This role is remote and may involve a travel expectation of 10% (required or optional).
