SUMMARY The key responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to, servicing, repairing, cleaning, and maintaining Video Gaming Terminals (VGT), Redemption Terminals (RT), amusement devices, Automatic Teller Machines (ATM), marketing devices, and other related equipment as necessary. Service technicians will collaborate with fellow Accel Entertainment staff and personnel at partner sites, fostering teamwork and ensuring a positive customer experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Respond promptly to service requests under various weather and lighting conditions.
  • Conduct wellness checks at locations to verify that Accel Entertainment equipment is clean and operational.
  • Utilize computer and mobile applications to execute duties and complete administrative tasks.
  • Inspect, clean, test, and troubleshoot VGTs, RTs, amusement devices, standalone ATMs, and marketing equipment. Perform repairs, adjustments, and/or part replacements as needed to maintain optimal equipment functionality.
  • Engage with Accel Entertainment employees and customers to minimize equipment downtime and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Replenish cash cassettes and coins in RTs, ATMs, and change machines.
  • Execute hand pays with cash when necessary.
  • Protect company assets by adhering to company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage vehicle inventory to ensure essential parts and tools are readily available.
  • Interpret VGT pay lines and rules, and communicate them effectively to customers.
  • Employ hand tools for adjustments and/or part replacements on VGTs, RTs, amusement devices, and standalone ATMs.
  • Utilize wiring diagrams to assist in troubleshooting VGTs, RTs, amusement devices, and standalone ATMs. Use multimeters, outlet testers, and cable testers to check for continuity and voltage.
  • Follow procedures for parts control and ordering replacement components.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for device entry and in-house logs.
  • Transport equipment, funds, and supplies between company locations, customer sites, or to other technicians as required.
  • Restock amusement supplies as necessary.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures for maintaining company-assigned vehicles.
  • Comply with all Accel and IGB policies and procedures.
  • Work full shifts within the assigned service territory.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in servicing slot machines, VGTs, amusement devices, ATMs, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
  • Mechanically inclined individuals are preferred.
  • Basic PC or networking skills are desirable.
  • Must be capable of lifting and/or moving heavy objects.
  • Willingness to work rotating, on-call, weekend, and evening shifts, including holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain a terminal handler license.
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to adapt to an environment with constantly changing priorities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Frequently required to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, walk, and sit.
  • Regularly required to drive long distances.
  • Often required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Frequently required to communicate verbally and listen.
  • Regularly required to lift/push items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
