This role involves establishing enduring partnerships with clients to create mutually beneficial solutions within a designated territory and account portfolio. The focus will be on compact machinery, including compact utility tractors, skid-steer loaders, mini-excavators, compact loaders, generators, and technology solutions for compact equipment, while representing RDO Equipment Co. with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize company-provided systems and tools to meticulously document, track, and manage all sales activities promptly and accurately, contributing to the proposal process and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Leverage manufacturer programs and resources to achieve competitive market share.
- Promote and sell whole goods, parts, services, and machine technology solutions, including Machine Control and telematics.
- Foster long-term relationships within the territory to enhance customer productivity and company profitability.
- Stay informed about competitive products and industry trends.
- Conduct field demonstrations and operate machinery at customer sites.
- Maintain a strong understanding of used equipment values for accurate trade evaluations.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager and Sales Support team to ensure timely follow-up on orders.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt follow-up on sales.
- Coordinate with customers and relevant departments for timely equipment delivery.
- Manage equipment pickup and delivery as required.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing job duties.
- Present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co. in all customer and community interactions.
- Engage in company-sponsored training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Participate in company communication initiatives, including meetings and team huddles.
- Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and management, emphasizing teamwork and exceptional customer service.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management in a professional manner.
- Previous sales experience or training is preferred.
- Strong understanding of local market dynamics.
- Knowledge of machinery resale values is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Outstanding customer service abilities.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and current health card are preferred.
- Ability to load and unload equipment is necessary.
- Candidates must possess valid work authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
