Stan Houston Equipment Company is currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Sales Associate to join our Parts & Service Department.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with a rotating Saturday morning schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a solid understanding of the construction materials, tools, and equipment available.
  • Assist customers in finding products, checking inventory levels, and processing sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
  • Inform customers about current promotions and discounts.
  • Provide comprehensive information regarding the features, applications, and advantages of various construction materials to aid customers in making informed purchasing choices.
  • Welcome customers in a courteous and professional manner, addressing inquiries and providing tailored recommendations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations, including stocking shelves, organizing displays, and participating in inventory counts.
  • Receive and organize incoming merchandise shipments, ensuring that displays are well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, promptly reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric approach.
  • Basic computer proficiency for operating the point-of-sale system.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred.
  • Experience with construction tools and equipment is a plus.
