As a Senior Research Engineer, you will be tasked with planning and executing a range of intricate assignments.

Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct routine engineering investigations to support ongoing research or product development using engineering software analysis tools.
- Create design sketches or drawings for components, sub-assemblies, processes, or equipment utilizing CAD or 3-D solid modeling software.
- Assist in the design, development, and evaluation of prototype medical devices, equipment, and software.
- Aid in the preparation and assessment of test protocols and specimens.
- Generate charts, graphs, and documentation to support publications, project reports, and grant applications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:
- A Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required, along with three years of directly related experience, or a Master's Degree with one year of experience.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Capability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
- Capacity to distinguish colors and manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens up to 20 pounds.
- May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, bio-hazards, radioactive materials, etc.

Personal Protective Equipment:
- Adhere to standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range:
- Minimum hourly: $30.41
- Maximum hourly: $46.38
The displayed pay range reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as work history, experience, skill set, and education, excluding the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package.
