An experienced Geotechnical Engineer plays a vital role in our team's success. The Geotechnical Engineering Project Specialist will deliver engineering and consulting solutions across a diverse range of projects and clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and/or lead field investigations, engineering analyses, calculations, and recommendations.
  • Design and develop plans and specifications, ensuring thorough observation and inspection.
  • Prepare, write, and review related reports for the services rendered.
  • Review drawings and construction to ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Draft proposals and cost estimates, monitor project progress, budgets, and suggest modifications as necessary.
  • Research and resolve design and construction challenges.
  • Assign, review, and evaluate laboratory or field data for report inclusion.
  • Apply sound engineering principles and effectively communicate complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage detailed phases of projects with moderate complexity.
  • Independently execute a variety of projects or segments of larger initiatives.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
  • Collaborate closely with senior project managers to gain further project management experience.
  • Make informed design, engineering, and construction recommendations.
  • Prepare proposals and reports for projects of varying complexity.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of proposals prepared by others.
  • Evaluate complex laboratory and field data for report integration.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to junior project team members.
  • Engage directly with clients and project teams to develop service scopes and communicate project updates.
  • Draft and prepare comprehensive engineering reports detailing services, findings, and recommendations.
  • Participate in marketing, sales, and business development efforts.
  • Supervise graduate, field, and project engineering staff.
  • Adhere to safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • EIT or Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.
