KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Vice President's objective is to drive sustainable growth by managing the initiation, pursuit, and execution of new commercial and industrial, power generation, and energy storage projects.
- This role encompasses all departmental functions, including safety protocols, business development, cost estimation, design, operational management, and quality assurance.
- Accountable for departmental profit and loss, including project-specific budgets and forecasts, ensuring the precision of financial projections and operational execution to meet financial and scheduling targets.
- Contribute to project strategy, scope, timelines, resource allocation, budgeting, quality assurance, and change management.
- Continuously analyze market trends and competitive landscape, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Engage in contractual negotiations, safety training, incident investigations, and project evaluations.
- This position will enhance business credibility, foster enduring relationships, and identify new business opportunities while consistently promoting the Helix Electric brand.
- Guide and mentor functional teams to achieve their individual objectives.
- Formulate, communicate, and implement departmental goals aligned with the company's strategic vision.
- Review monthly financial reports and make informed decisions regarding departmental initiatives and goal attainment.
- Investigate and report on state and local regulatory matters pertinent to the markets served.
- Effectively relay relevant information to various internal and external stakeholders throughout different phases of project development and financing.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Preferred MBA; minimum of a BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of direct experience in project development, either in development or finance, within the electrical and renewable construction sectors.
- Proven history of building and leading successful teams.
- Experience thriving in a start-up environment.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and project finance.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information effectively, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize dynamically.
- Diverse skills in sales, management, and operations, capable of overseeing all phases of the sales, execution, and management processes.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage with all organizational levels, from entry-level staff to C-suite executives.
The starting annual base salary for this position ranges from USD $200,000 to $325,000. The actual salary will depend on various factors, including location, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market conditions. This salary range is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future. The role may also qualify for a vehicle allowance, bonuses, and additional benefits.
