Vice President of Solar Construction

The Vice President will oversee the comprehensive performance of the renewable energy division and play a pivotal role in shaping the national market strategy for Helix Electric, Inc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The primary objective of the Vice President is to secure sustainable growth by directing the initiation, pursuit, and execution of new commercial and industrial, power generation, and energy storage projects.
- This role encompasses all departmental responsibilities, including safety protocols, business expansion, cost estimation, design oversight, operational management, and quality assurance.
- Accountable for departmental profit and loss, including project-specific budgets and forecasts, ensuring precision in financial predictions and operational delivery to meet financial and scheduling targets.
- Contribute to project strategy, scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, quality assurance, and change management.
- Continuously analyze market trends and competitive landscape, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Engage in contractual negotiations, safety training, incident investigations, and project evaluations.
- This position will drive business development with a focus on establishing credibility, fostering strong relationships, and identifying new business opportunities while consistently enhancing the Helix Electric brand.
- Guide and mentor functional teams to help them achieve their individual objectives.
- Formulate, communicate, and implement departmental goals aligned with the company's strategic vision.
- Review monthly financial reports and make informed decisions regarding departmental initiatives and goal attainment.
- Investigate and report on state and local regulatory matters pertinent to the markets served.
- Effectively relay relevant information to various internal and external stakeholders throughout different phases of project development and financing.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Preferred MBA; minimum of a BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of direct experience in project development, either in development or finance, within the electrical and renewable construction sectors.
- Proven track record of building and leading successful teams.
- Experience in a start-up environment is advantageous.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and project financing.
- Ability to accurately analyze and synthesize information, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
- Diverse skill set in sales, management, and operations, capable of overseeing all phases of the sales, execution, and management processes.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to engage with all organizational levels from entry-level to executive management.
The anticipated annual base salary for this position ranges from USD $200,000 to $325,000. The actual salary will be determined by various factors, including location, experience, and market conditions. This role may also qualify for additional benefits such as a vehicle allowance, bonuses, and other perks.
