Job Overview

Position Summary

At Platinum Maintenance Services, our IT infrastructure is vital to delivering solutions that benefit consumers globally. We are in search of a seasoned IT Specialist who can leverage their technical expertise to enhance our operational efficiency. In this capacity, you will assess our existing systems and resources, propose and implement enhancements, and provide training to staff. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of network management, experience in personnel oversight, and comprehensive industry knowledge to keep us at the forefront of technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee critical IT operations, including operating systems, security applications, servers, email systems, and both hardware and software assets.
  • Lead projects and take ownership of solutions within broader business initiatives.
  • Manage essential IT tasks and system administration.
  • Research and assess new technologies, hardware, and software solutions.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software resources.
  • Coordinate with vendors for services related to wireless, cloud hosting, and printing contracts.
  • Serve as the primary contact for users regarding software-related inquiries.
  • Evaluate departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and enhance productivity and accuracy to support informed business decisions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of network components, staying updated on new features and competitive offerings.
  • Continuously review processes, technologies, and vendor relationships to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare cost-benefit analysis reports for necessary upgrades, ensuring vendors provide optimal service and value.
  • Conduct training for employees on software and hardware, troubleshoot issues, and offer technical support as required.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures and maintain data backups.
  • Travel between various site locations and provide remote support for users.
  • Manage server, firewall, network, and all IT-related matters within the organization.
  • Oversee security systems and antivirus software maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and operating systems, including MS O365, Server 2012, Active Directory, and other Windows-based systems.
  • Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing technological solutions.

  • Relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience in vendor management.
  • Knowledge of Azure AD, Quickbooks, Sage, and VPN technologies.
