Massachusetts Inc. is seeking a skilled Nurse to join our team in this challenging and rewarding role.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, with experience working with clients who have primary substance use disorders. A thorough understanding of detoxification protocols, including the CIWA and COWS scales, is essential for this position.

We are looking for a dedicated professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, providing direct care to individuals in acute detox and maintenance phases. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals are crucial for success in this role.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week on day or evening shifts. The selected candidate will be required to perform mandatory overtime. We offer a competitive salary of $73,500 - $93,400 per year, depending on experience.

The Department of Mental Health (DMH) operates a statewide Recovery from Addictions Program (RAP), providing quality client-centered care and recovery-oriented treatment. As a nurse in this program, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team working together to support individuals in their recovery journey.

To be successful in this role, you must have a valid license as a practical nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. Experience working with chemically addicted, dual diagnosed, or psychiatrically ill clients with co-morbidity is highly desirable.

About the Role:

  • Provide direct care to individuals in acute detox and maintenance phases.
  • Administer medication according to RAP protocols.
  • Assess client conditions and develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
