Nursing Services Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse III to join our Nursing Services Department at Taunton State Hospital. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to adult psychiatric patients on locked units.
About the Role- Establish and implement nursing plans of care using the Person-Centered Approach within the Recovery Model.
- Assess health care needs of patients and their families, participating in admissions, discharges, and related duties.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed nursing staff, ensuring optimal quality care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold the rights of all patients.
- Promote recovery-oriented care by gaining knowledge required to provide Patient Centered Care.
- Identify and address patient needs through nursing assessments, interventions, and care.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent experience.
- Current and valid registration as a professional nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
- Minimum one year of full-time or equivalent part-time experience as a registered nurse in a recognized hospital, clinic, or medical facility.
- At least six months of supervisory, administrative, or managerial experience.
We offer a competitive salary range of $73,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off, we also offer opportunities for professional growth and development.
About Taunton State HospitalTaunton State Hospital is a 62-bed inpatient facility operated by the Department of Mental Health (DMH). We provide continuing care services to adults with major mental illnesses, utilizing the Principles of Recovery and a rehabilitation philosophy in our treatment model.
