Job Title: Mental Health Worker IIEstimated Salary: $42,000 - $60,000 per year

This role involves working closely with professional staff to provide direct care and treatment for patients. As a Mental Health Worker II, you will assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans, ensuring the health, comfort, and safety needs of patients are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Treat all patients with dignity and respect, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Act as a role model, assisting and monitoring the work performance of subordinates, and providing close supervision during daily ward assignments.
  • Assess assigned clients on a non-professional level, writing nursing progress notes reflecting behavioral changes as indicated in their treatment plan.
  • Work with patients on an individual or small group basis, providing therapeutic interventions and promoting optimal stabilization and rehabilitation.
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADL) and rehabilitative aspects of care to ensure patients' health and comfort needs are met.
  • Establish rapport with patients and other staff members, developing cooperative working relationships to enhance patient care.
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants must have at least one year of full-time experience in providing direct care services to the mentally ill or emotionally/physically handicapped.

Education towards a degree in psychology, human services, mental health, or retardation may be substituted for the required experience.
