Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for defining project goals and timelines, overseeing daily project operations, tracking performance metrics, identifying discrepancies, and implementing necessary corrective measures.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with sales teams to create proposals and manage accounts.
  2. Deliver presentations to clients as needed.
  3. Define project objectives regarding requirements, timelines, and budgets in consultation with relevant departments and clients.
  4. Engage in project estimation sessions as necessary.
  5. Oversee daily project operations ensuring compliance with engineering standards and practices.
  6. Regularly update clients on project progress.
  7. Ensure confidentiality is maintained within the project team.
  8. Document project activities using the electronic project management system, adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  9. Monitor project costs against estimates, alerting management and clients to potential deviations and assisting in corrective actions.
  10. Maintain a log of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) through ongoing project monitoring and client interactions.
  11. Guide team members through various project phases, providing solutions to specific challenges.
  12. Organize and lead design review sessions.
  13. Supervise project activities during the fabrication, assembly, testing, and installation phases, approving necessary modifications.
  14. Coordinate safety reviews of equipment prior to disassembly.
  15. Ensure all project aspects are aligned for successful completion.
  16. Work with other departments and client representatives to clarify project requirements and build confidence in our capabilities.
  17. Communicate project updates among management, team members, and clients to maintain project direction.
  18. Track project status regarding costs and timelines, keeping stakeholders informed of any issues that arise.
  19. Provide support in the design and engineering efforts related to assigned projects.
  20. Stay informed about technological advancements and participate in training opportunities.
  21. May mentor and guide colleagues from various classifications.
  22. Engage effectively with team members across all departments.
  23. Be open to specialized training as assigned by supervisors.
  24. Willingness to travel as necessary.
  25. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  2. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  3. Proficient in mathematical concepts relevant to engineering.
  4. Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  6. Experience in analyzing technical designs.
  7. Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing circumstances.
  8. Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills.
  9. Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Office applications.
  10. Experience leading project teams without direct supervisory responsibilities.

Preferred:

  1. Experience with governmental projects.
