POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager for Additive Manufacturing oversees projects related to New Product Innovation (NPI) in the field of additive manufacturing technology. Reporting directly to the Director of PMO, this role collaborates closely with the additive manufacturing team and external customer groups to plan and execute initiatives aimed at expanding Orchid's additive manufacturing capabilities. This position requires hybrid work, with a majority of time spent on-site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead project teams to achieve objectives for complex projects that may involve multiple Orchid facilities.
  • Coordinate project operations, including engineering design, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and project closure, utilizing Orchid's project management methodologies.
  • Manage the development of business cases, conduct cost/benefit analyses, and oversee project budgets.
  • Identify and negotiate project schedules, milestones, and necessary resources; prioritize tasks based on capacity and critical paths.
  • Engage key stakeholders and foster collaborative relationships across multifunctional teams.
  • Ensure clear project scope and manage changes, communications, issues, and risks effectively.
  • Monitor key project deliverables and report on progress regarding quality, financial, and performance metrics.
  • Understand the roles of all project team members and provide leadership and training as needed.
  • Maintain high standards for managerial responsibilities and project performance.
  • Track project financial performance to ensure quality and service within budget constraints.
  • Develop robust project management controls for complex initiatives.
  • Provide constructive feedback to project team members.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers, facilitating communication to ensure satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes.
  • Support quality and compliance initiatives by adhering to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) standards.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree (Required)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years in project leadership, including 1-2 years managing complex projects (Required)
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing (Preferred)
  • Experience in project management (Preferred)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • 10% travel may be necessary

CERTIFICATIONS

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (Preferred)
