About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Growth Strategist to join our team at Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. as a Regional Development Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to drive business expansion and growth in the state of Florida.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement geographic growth initiatives in collaboration with market and practice leaders.
  • Work with regional leadership to develop resources and investments needed to meet growth goals outlined in the Florida business plan.
  • Modify business growth plans as conditions change.
  • Analyze information to evaluate the geography's performance, strengths, and weaknesses, and competitive landscape to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Estimate business impact of strategic growth initiatives and prepare reports and recommendations for executive leadership teams.
  • Propose plans for leveraging internal resources to capitalize on growth opportunities and track performance.
  • Administer long-term strategic plans for the growth of the company within Florida.
  • Assist in the development of strategies for identifying and responding to business development opportunities, which may include internal expansion into new markets or external expansion via partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures.
  • Gather and analyze data evaluating new business opportunities or assessing potential markets to assist executive teams in decision making and planning related to Florida geographic growth.
  • Prepare proposals, reports, or presentations demonstrating the potential value of new business opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience in strategy planning, development, and execution related to project management and business development.
  • Ability to successfully coordinate multi-disciplinary resources needed for efficient project delivery.
  • Skilled in collaborating with other internal business leaders to evaluate opportunities and strategies for growth.
  • Strong networking skills and an extensive network of contacts throughout the state of Florida.
  • Proven track record in business development.
  • Skilled at engaging with clients and effectively negotiating contracts.
  • Strong ability to influence others to achieve alignment with growth initiatives and resources needed for project execution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to accurately and professionally present information to all levels of individuals both internal and external.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects through prioritization and workload scheduling.
  • This position requires an MVR records check verifying that you possess a valid driver's license and a driving record which meets the requirements of SEH's Driving Program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of previous experience related to civil engineering projects and business development efforts.
