About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Growth Strategist to join our team at Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. as a Regional Development Manager. This role will be responsible for developing and executing geographic growth initiatives in the state of Florida.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with market and practice leaders to develop strategic growth plans and initiatives.
  • Work with regional leadership to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, leveraging internal resources and external partnerships.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and client needs to inform business development strategies.
  • Estimate business impact of strategic growth initiatives and prepare reports and recommendations for executive leadership teams.
  • Develop and implement plans to drive business growth and expansion in Florida, including identifying new markets and opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of strategies for identifying and responding to business development opportunities, including internal expansion and external partnerships.
  • Gather and analyze data to evaluate new business opportunities and assess potential markets.
  • Prepare proposals, reports, or presentations demonstrating the potential value of new business opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong experience in strategy planning, development, and execution related to project management and business development.
  • Ability to successfully coordinate multi-disciplinary resources needed for efficient project delivery.
  • Skilled in collaborating with other internal business leaders to evaluate opportunities and strategies for growth.
  • Strong networking skills and an extensive network of contacts throughout the state of Florida.
  • Proven track record in business development.
  • Skilled at engaging with clients and effectively negotiating contracts.
  • Strong ability to influence others to achieve alignment with growth initiatives and resources needed for project execution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to accurately and professionally present information to all levels of individuals both internal and external.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects through prioritization and workload scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of previous experience related to civil engineering projects and business development efforts.
