Position Overview:

The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in the post-award management of grants and contracts, ensuring compliance and providing support throughout the lifecycle of the funding. Key responsibilities include:
Entering data into the financial management system for award initiation Analyzing financial data to verify adherence to sponsor guidelines Assisting Principal Investigators and Administrators with administrative tasks Reviewing financial reports and data for accuracy Preparing and submitting financial reports to funding agencies Reconciling general and operational ledgers Monitoring the status of receivables and preparing invoices for sponsors This role requires collaboration within a team environment and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. The Financial Analyst will utilize their expertise to significantly impact the university's research funding efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience Positive and adaptable attitude with a willingness to learn Knowledge of federal, state, and sponsor regulations regarding grants Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks effectively Proven track record of reliability and performance Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial management systems Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in post-award administration within a university setting Familiarity with SunGard Banner Financial System is advantageous
