Position Overview

SunSource, a prominent player in the industrial distribution sector, is seeking a dedicated Account Manager to oversee a sales territory. This role is essential for driving business growth and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Development: Engage in proactive business development and identify new customer prospects.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and sustain relationships with existing clients while exploring opportunities with potential customers.
  • Consultative Selling: Effectively communicate the value of our services to clients in a B2B environment.
  • Action Planning: Create detailed action plans and schedules to target specific accounts.
  • Lead Generation: Follow up on leads and referrals generated from field activities.
  • Presentation Skills: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including status reports and follow-ups.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Inside Sales teams to enhance overall sales effectiveness.
  • Event Participation: Represent the company at marketing events, including trade shows and seminars.
  • Account Management: Ensure high-quality service delivery and address any client concerns promptly.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess the following:

  • High School Diploma or GED; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the industrial hose and gasket sector.
  • Experience in value-added sales is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with CRM systems.
  • A valid Driver's license is required.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes.
