Position Overview:

The primary objective of this position is to deliver high-quality functional consultancy for Oracle E-Business Suite R12, with a specific emphasis on the Accounting to Reporting (A2R) process area on a global scale. This role involves leading demand and prioritization discussions with both end users and IT teams. The individual will collaborate with business and technical teams to enhance existing processes and implement new functionalities, ensuring optimal utilization of technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consultancy and manage demand effectively.
  • Serve as the Oracle subject matter expert, assisting business users and IT teams with Oracle E-Business Suite.
  • Analyze business challenges, processes, and opportunities to recommend solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Focus on key A2R areas including Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, Payables & Payments, General Ledger, Cash Management, eBTax, Consolidation, Budgeting & Forecasting, FSG, and Financial Reporting.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and scripts, and conduct functional testing in collaboration with end users and the Development team.
  • Engage with the business user community to identify and document new functional or technical requirements, collaborating with IT professionals to implement solutions.
  • Deliver implementation services for Oracle applications and associated satellite applications, ensuring that projects and enhancements are designed and executed optimally for a seamless post-implementation experience.
  • Enhance system capabilities and implement new functionalities.
  • Provide ongoing application support, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, training, documentation, and ticket tracking to ensure timely bug fixes.
  • Transition to level 3+ operations support as Application Managed Services are introduced.
  • Ensure the maintenance and support of various integrations.
  • Review and adjust existing configurations/setups as necessary, maintaining adequate documentation.
  • Manage projects by independently planning, organizing, and overseeing resources to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams to identify and prioritize process improvements and system opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to review processes, understand requirements, perform fit/gap analysis, evaluate options, and make recommendations.
  • Research emerging technologies or trends to add value to the A2R team.
  • Define, develop, and document proposed high-level solutions, facilitating the deployment of business-enhancing projects.
  • Analyze technical risks and advise on mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the design, build, and implementation of solutions to meet business requirements for various initiatives within Oracle A2R modules.
  • Oversee the Application Managed Services team within the A2R domain.
  • Support period close activities, account reconciliation, and month-end reporting.
  • Collaborate with Internal and External IT Auditors to ensure successful audit events.
  • Drive process and system improvements to meet evolving business needs.
  • Provide training and support to both new and existing users.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a functional consultant in Oracle Applications, focusing on the A2R process stream and modules of Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.10.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and consultative skills with over 5 years of system implementation experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of business flows and system capabilities within the A2R process stream.
  • Expertise in Oracle EBS modules including General Ledger, Cash Management, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, eBTax, and EPM.
  • Understanding of accounting flows in Oracle eBS, sub-ledger accounting, revenue recognition, and tax requirements.
  • Experience with intercompany accounting, financial reporting, and statutory reporting.
  • Familiarity with month-end processes, ledger reconciliation, and financial consolidation.
  • Experience in business process analysis, gap identification, and system configuration.
  • Experience in preparing functional requirements, test case documents, and executing project milestone sessions.
  • Knowledge of the full ERP implementation lifecycle.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues at various levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a geographically dispersed team environment.
  • Proficient in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset.
  • Fluent in English.
  • ITIL certification is a plus, along with experience in ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
