About the Team

The Senior Financial Implementation Consultant is an integral part of the Professional Services Healthcare Industry team, dedicated to implementing Workday's Foundation Data Model and Accounting solutions for our clients.

We collaborate closely with our Healthcare clients to develop effective and efficient solutions within Workday.

About the Role

As a Senior Functional Consultant, you will be pivotal in ensuring the successful deployment of Workday's financial solutions for our healthcare clients.

This role offers the chance to work with a diverse and inclusive team, partnering with sales, project management, product development, and fellow consultants to achieve exceptional outcomes.

The Principal Financial Implementation Consultant will leverage their expertise in Workday products, industry knowledge, and implementation strategies, acting as an architect and advisor to ensure alignment of financial and accounting solutions with other functional areas.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to and uphold healthcare best practices to align with emerging industry standards.
  • Assess client needs and design customized Workday financial solutions.
  • Showcase configurations through prototype system development and assist clients in testing.
  • Engage in ongoing training and events to share product and industry knowledge with peers.
  • Collaborate with the Engagement Manager by providing status updates and keeping them informed of project progress.
  • Participate in customer discovery sessions.
  • Mentor junior consultants.

About You

4+ years of implementation or functional experience in Financial Management software solutions or systems such as Workday, Lawson, Oracle, or PeopleSoft.

3+ years of consulting experience.

4+ years of financial consulting experience with at least 3 full-cycle healthcare industry implementations OR 6+ years of financial or accounting operational experience in healthcare organizations.

Experience with General Ledger and one or more of the following:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Asset Management
  • Expense Management
  • Banking & Settlement

Other Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Finance or Accounting.

A passion for customer service and experience in project management.

Ability to architect Workday Foundation Data Model (FDM) and FIN Accounting solutions.

Capability to connect with all levels of customer leadership.

Quick learner with the ability to grasp technology through instruction and self-study.

Experience with multiple financial applications.

Ability to manage multiple project engagements simultaneously.

Willingness to travel up to 50%.

The annualized base salary ranges for primary and additional locations are provided below. Workday's pay ranges vary based on work location.

As part of the total compensation package, this role may qualify for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, along with annual refresh stock grants.
