Job Overview:

The primary objective of this position is to deliver high-quality functional consultancy for Oracle E-Business Suite R12, with a focus on the Accounting to Reporting (A2R) domain on a global scale. This role involves leading demand and prioritization discussions with both end users and IT departments. The selected candidate will collaborate with business and technical teams to enhance existing processes and introduce new functionalities, ensuring that technology is utilized to its maximum potential. Additionally, this role will provide ongoing support until the Application Managed Services (AMS) team is fully operational, along with training and knowledge transfer to current team members and end users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consulting and Demand Management: Serve as the Oracle subject matter expert, assisting business users and IT teams with Oracle E-Business Suite.
  • Analyze business challenges and opportunities, recommending solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Focus on A2R areas including Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, Payables & Payments, General Ledger, Cash Management, eBTax, Consolidation, Budgeting & Forecasting, FSG, and Financial Reporting.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and scripts, conducting functional testing in collaboration with end users and the development team.
  • Engage with the business user community to gather and document new functional or technical requirements, working with IT professionals to implement solutions.
  • Provide implementation services for Oracle applications and related systems, ensuring optimal design and execution for smooth post-implementation.
  • Enhance system capabilities and implement new functionalities.
  • Operational Support: Offer daily application support, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, training, documentation, and ticket tracking to ensure timely bug fixes.
  • Transition to level 3+ operations support as the AMS team becomes established.
  • Ensure support and maintenance of various integrations.
  • Review and maintain existing configurations, making necessary adjustments with proper documentation.
  • Project Management: Independently plan, organize, and oversee resources to achieve project objectives, influencing all aspects of project execution.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to identify and prioritize process improvements and system opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams, reviewing processes, understanding requirements, conducting fit/gap analysis, and making recommendations.
  • Research emerging technologies or trends to add value to the A2R team.
  • Define, develop, and document proposed high-level solutions, facilitating the deployment of business-enhancing projects.
  • Analyze technical risks and advise on mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the design, build, and implementation of solutions addressing business requirements for various initiatives in Oracle A2R modules.
  • Oversee the AMS team within the A2R domain.
  • Support period close activities, account reconciliation, and month-end reporting.
  • Coordinate with internal and external IT auditors to ensure successful audit outcomes.
  • Identify and drive process and system enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
  • Provide training and support to both new and existing users.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a functional consultant in Oracle Applications, focusing on the A2R process stream and modules of Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.10.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and consultative skills, with over 5 years of system implementation experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of business processes and system capabilities within the A2R process stream.
  • Extensive functional expertise in Oracle EBS modules including General Ledger, Cash Management, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, eBTax, and EPM.
  • Understanding of accounting flows in Oracle eBS, sub-ledger accounting, revenue recognition, and tax requirements.
  • Experience with intercompany accounting, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
  • Familiarity with month-end processes, ledger reconciliation, and financial consolidation.
  • Proficient in business process analysis, gap identification, and system configuration.
  • Experience in preparing functional requirements, test case documentation, and managing project milestones.
  • Knowledge of the full ERP implementation lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues at various levels.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a geographically dispersed team environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking.
  • Fluent in English.
  • ITIL certification is a plus, along with experience in ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
