Job Role:

The primary objective of this position is to deliver expert functional consultancy for Oracle E-Business Suite R12, with a strong emphasis on the Accounting to Reporting (A2R) process on a global scale. This role involves leading demand and prioritization discussions with both end users and IT teams. The individual will collaborate with business and technical teams to enhance existing processes and introduce new functionalities, ensuring optimal utilization of technology. Additionally, the role includes providing daily support until the Application Managed Services (AMS) team is fully operational, along with offering training and knowledge transfer to current team members and end users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Consultancy & Demand Management
  • Serve as the Oracle subject matter expert, assisting business users and IT teams with Oracle E-Business Suite.
  • Analyze business challenges, processes, and opportunities to recommend solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Focus on Accounting to Reporting areas including Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, Payables & Payments, General Ledger, Cash Management, eBTax, Consolidation, Budgeting & Forecasting, FSG, and Financial Reporting.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and scripts, and conduct functional testing in collaboration with end users and the Development team.
  • Engage with the business user community to identify and document new functional or technical requirements, working with IT professionals to implement solutions.
  • Provide implementation services for Oracle applications and associated satellite applications, ensuring projects and enhancements are designed and executed efficiently for smooth post-implementation.
  • Enhance system capabilities and implement new functionalities.
  • Operational Support
  • Deliver daily application support, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, training, documentation, and tracking support tickets to ensure timely bug fixes and smooth operations until the AMS team is fully capable.
  • Transition to level 3+ operational support upon the introduction of AMS.
  • Ensure support and maintenance of various integrations.
  • Review and maintain existing configurations, making necessary corrections and changes with proper documentation.
  • Manage projects by independently planning, organizing, and overseeing resources to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams to identify and prioritize process improvements and system opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to review processes, understand requirements, perform fit/gap analysis, evaluate options, and provide recommendations.
  • Research and identify emerging technologies or trends to add value to the Accounting to Reporting team.
  • Define, develop, and document proposed high-level solutions, facilitating the deployment of business-enhancing projects.
  • Analyze technical risks and provide advice on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the design, build, and implementation of solutions to meet business requirements for initiatives in Oracle A2R modules.
  • Oversee the AMS team within the A2R domain.
  • Review, enhance, and support period close activities, providing assistance in account reconciliation and month-end reporting.
  • Collaborate with Internal and External IT Auditors to ensure successful audit events.
  • Identify and drive process and system improvements to meet evolving business needs.
  • Provide training and support to new and existing users.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Applications as a functional consultant, specifically focusing on the A2R process stream and modules of Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.10.

· Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud is highly desirable.

· Strong leadership and consultative skills with over 5 years of system implementation experience.

· Comprehensive understanding of business flows and system capabilities within the A2R process stream.

· Expertise in Oracle EBS modules including General Ledger, Cash Management, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, eBTax, and EPM.

· Knowledge of accounting flows in Oracle eBS, sub-ledger accounting, revenue recognition, and tax requirements.

· Familiarity with intercompany accounting, financial, and statutory reporting.

· Experience in month-end processes, ledger reconciliation, and financial consolidation.

· Proficient in business process analysis, gap identification, and system configuration to meet business needs.

· Experience in Costing is preferred but not mandatory.

· Skilled in preparing functional requirements, test case documents, and planning and executing project milestone sessions (CRP, SIT, UAT).

· Experience in the full ERP implementation lifecycle.

· Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues at various levels.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a geographically dispersed team environment.

· Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

· Strong multitasking abilities and efficient prioritization of tasks.

· Self-starter, motivated, and forward-thinking.

· Fluent in English.

· ITIL certification is desired, along with experience in ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
