Community Support Advocate
Part-Time Evenings, 5pm - 10pm, 20 hours per week
This role involves connecting with and offering assistance to individuals experiencing homelessness as part of a dedicated Outreach Team.
Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is actively seeking Community Support Advocates to join our efforts in providing essential services to those in need. Our organization is committed to delivering compassionate care and support to vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities of a Community Support Advocate:
- Oversee a supportive living environment, including welcoming new residents, enforcing program guidelines, and managing household supplies.
- Engage regularly with residents, assisting them in overcoming challenges while providing mentorship and fostering a sense of community.
- Facilitate weekly meetings with residents to discuss progress and address concerns.
- Provide daily updates to the case manager regarding resident well-being.
- Document any significant incidents that occur within the facility.
- Perform additional related tasks as necessary.
Qualifications for a Community Support Advocate:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification as a Peer Support Specialist.
- Experience working with homeless individuals and/or those with substance use or mental health challenges (preferred).
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, meeting organizational insurance requirements.
