Position Summary:

We are in search of a Senior Environmental Project Manager (NDEC Ecologist) to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in overseeing environmental initiatives for significant transportation and habitat restoration projects in the Puget Sound region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage environmental programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards during all project phases.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to minimize environmental impacts and promote sustainable practices.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative environment for project success.
  • Oversee environmental permitting processes, including NEPA/SEPA development and stormwater compliance.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget while upholding the highest standards of environmental stewardship.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental management, with a focus on compliance and heavy civil projects.
  • At least 3 years of experience in transportation projects within the Pacific Northwest.
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Strong project management capabilities, adept at handling multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, emphasizing innovative and sustainable solutions.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in technical writing, capable of producing comprehensive reports and documentation independently.
  • Strong proficiency in Geology, Wetland Biology, Hazardous Material Remediation, or related fields.
  • Professional certifications such as Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) or Licensed Geologist (LG) are highly valued.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project needs.
  • Able to work in challenging weather conditions and terrains.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $125K and $150K annually, reflecting the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
