Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Program Manager to join our team at the Department of the Army. As an Environmental Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading and executing environmental programs, including the Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) program and the Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply project management methods and techniques to lead and execute environmental programs.
  • Apply expert knowledge and understanding of HTRW program objectives and MMRP objectives as required by Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation & Liability Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Federal regulations, and DoD policy.
  • Develop policies, regulations, and procedures in the execution of environmental projects/programs.
  • Anticipate major program needs and/or problems and provide recommendations regarding the management of the environmental programs and community of practice.
Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and at least one year of specialized experience in environmental program management. You must also have a good understanding of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering and a good understanding of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in engineering or a related field and at least two years of specialized experience in environmental program management. You should also have a strong understanding of project management methods and techniques and experience with developing policies, regulations, and procedures in the execution of environmental projects/programs.
