With advanced manufacturing capabilities across multiple regions, including the U.S., Europe, and Asia, FUJIFILM Electronic Materials caters to leading semiconductor manufacturers, offering a diverse range of products and services essential to the semiconductor production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the month-end closing process by analyzing variances in purchase prices and orders, collaborating with operations to rectify discrepancies, and preparing journal entries.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) to guarantee precise financial reporting.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of product cost data, including:
    • Reviewing and updating standard costs, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings.
    • Collaborating with plant operations and engineering to maintain accurate routings.
    • Coordinating with purchasing to obtain new material and packaging costs for input into SAP.
    • Estimating standard costs for new product lines.
  • Assist in inventory management by:
    • Collaborating with the accounting analyst and inventory team to conduct and review cycle counts and physical inventories.
    • Working with the materials review board to ensure appropriate reserves for obsolete inventory.
    • Reconciling inventory records with the general ledger.
  • Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and manage open items until resolution.
  • Engage in the budgeting and forecasting processes, including:
    • Annual development of standard costs through review of BOMs, routings, and material costs.
    • Preparation of labor and overhead rates for various business sectors.
    • Local site spending budgets and allocation of expenditures to business units.
  • Document procedures as necessary and contribute to special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP is essential.
  • Detail-oriented with robust analytical capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Cost Accounting Standards.
  • Ability to research, compile, analyze, and interpret data effectively.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • This role is safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of a post-offer drug screening.
