Position Overview

The Clinical Research Program Manager plays a pivotal role in the effective planning and execution of various research initiatives at A.T. Still University. This position ensures that all research projects are meticulously organized, monitored, and delivered in alignment with established protocols and timelines. The Program Manager is tasked with maintaining open lines of communication with all stakeholders, including university leadership, faculty, medical professionals, students, research participants, and data analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee the operation and troubleshooting of specialized research equipment and software, demonstrating a high level of technological proficiency.

+ Adhere to and update standard operating procedures related to research projects.

+ Ensure that all research activities comply with institutional, state, and federal regulations, including the management of contracts and agreements.

+ Occasionally work evenings and weekends as necessary.

+ Lead the planning and execution of research projects to achieve study objectives effectively.

+ Organize and facilitate various research program events.

+ Train and support staff in the use of research laboratory equipment and software.

+ Schedule and conduct project status meetings, ensuring timely follow-ups to meet deadlines.

+ Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats with all project stakeholders.

+ Provide guidance to principal investigators and key stakeholders on specific research processes.

+ Plan for data collection, management, and quality assurance throughout the research process.

+ Process and analyze collected data according to project-specific methodologies.

+ Recruit and enroll participants for research studies.

+ Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including the preparation and submission of Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications and maintenance of approvals.

+ Manage all contractual obligations in accordance with university policies and federal regulations.

+ Oversee the management of research resources, including financial reporting and status updates.

+ Address financial matters related to study subjects, including invoicing and compensation issues.

+ Mentor and supervise research personnel, fostering a collaborative environment.

+ Serve as a liaison among research subjects, investigators, regulatory bodies, and funding organizations, ensuring effective communication.

+ Coordinate academic research assessments with relevant departments and instructors.

+ Prepare semi-annual and annual reports for regulatory agencies and funding bodies.

+ Evaluate the feasibility of clinical trials sponsored by industry partners.

+ Develop promotional materials for research studies.

+ Maintain and update the internal research support website.

Qualifications:

+ An associate's degree or higher is preferred.

+ A minimum of three to five years of experience in managing multiple research projects effectively.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information confidently.

+ Relevant experience in clinical, academic, or health sciences research.

+ Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Demonstrated initiative, independent judgment, and a collaborative spirit.
