Senior Accounting Specialist at Creative Financial Staffing:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cash flow management and facilitate necessary cash transfers.
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements and create journal entries.
  • Examine invoice coding, confirm supporting documentation, and prepare journal entries.
  • Manage the maintenance of invoice and voucher records.
  • Prepare and process weekly cash/check deposits and accounting transactions.
  • Generate and distribute monthly financial reports.
  • Conduct reconciliations for grant payments and appropriations.
  • Execute additional duties as directed by the Accounting Director.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline with a minimum of four years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least two years of experience.
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector is preferred.
  • Proficient in ERP/Accounting software such as Intaact.
  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint are essential.
  • Familiarity with expense and invoicing systems like Nexonia is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication abilities and a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
