We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Accounting Specialist to join our team at MassMutual. As a key member of our Financial Controllership Team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our organization and supporting the growth and analysis within the Investment Controllership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and prepare information related to statutory investment reporting as governed by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).
  • Assist in the analysis of investment structures for determination of reporting, accounting and risk-based capital, utilizing NAIC investment guidance and external outreach.
  • Contribute to the completion of the investment accounting of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations.
  • Monitor and govern process change and transaction controls, including those executed by third parties that provide accounting services to the Company.
  • Contribute to various initiative work focusing on increasing efficiency and adding value, while continuing to develop your project management skills, hone your skills in investment product accounting and related financial impacts.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in investment accounting, investment operations, or investment-related field and be familiar with basic investments such as bonds and stocks.
  • 1+ years of experience in MS Excel and Microsoft Access.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
  • Experience with Bloomberg and investment applications (Eagle, Clearwater, Aladdin, PAM, CAMRA, etc.).
  • Insurance company experience and familiarity with annual statements.
