Director of Budgeting & Financial Reporting

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

  • Create and enhance tools and reports for budgeting and financial assessments.
  • Design presentation formats suitable for various audience levels.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for Board meetings.
  • Generate management-level reports tailored for division leaders and program heads.

Budgeting

  • Oversee the budgeting process organization-wide in partnership with the CFO, including regular updates on revenue and expenditure forecasts.

Accounting

  • Investigate and interpret reports derived from the general ledger, providing recommendations and corrections as necessary.
  • Facilitate bulk and individual reclassifications of general ledger transactions.
  • Update and upload the budget into the accounting system, generating supporting reports from these systems.
  • Ensure the chart of accounts and general ledger segmentation align with current business structures and industry best practices.

Cross-Team Leadership

  • Engage with senior leadership and staff throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with senior personnel to develop actionable management reports and insights.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Expertise in Excel at an advanced level.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity and confidentiality.
  • Advanced proficiency in using Tableau, Solver, DrillPoint, or equivalent advanced reporting tools.
