Job Title: Host Systems Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Host Systems Operator to join our team at Pacific Service Credit Union. As a Host Systems Operator, you will be responsible for the set-up, operation, and monitoring of the online host environment and other related peripherals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand database management concepts and have a working knowledge of specific databases relating to host subsystems systems.
  • Execute and observe daily processing operations in support of the Credit Union's requirement for quality, timely information, member data security, and operating efficiencies.
  • Perform batch and on-line processing utilizing the host application software package (Symitar Episys) in a real-time transaction environment within its operating system.
  • Operate and monitor peripheral and auxiliary equipment; start and monitor schedules and jobs, making adjustments to correct operational problems or meet special conditions.
  • Observe system and operational responses for malfunctions, errors in operations messages. Schedule work flow to meet predetermined requirements.
Requirements:
  • Education: BS/BA degree in Computer Technology or related discipline (or equivalent experience). Courses in business and information systems necessary to develop and maintain position proficiency.
  • Experience: One to three years increasing experience in related disciplines, including information systems, personal computers, data processing operations, training, and database management, preferably in a credit union or other financial institution environment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical, service, organization, and communication skills. Strong service and team orientation. Broad knowledge of the total organization's requirements for information systems support.
