Job Overview

Security Systems Technician:

  • Enhances customer loyalty by surpassing expectations through exceptional service and maintenance of security systems.
  • Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains various security and automation solutions, including fire detection, carbon monoxide alarms, networking, video surveillance, and access control systems.
  • Adheres to established protocols for both wired and wireless technologies.
  • Conducts tests to validate system communications with central monitoring stations to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Educates customers on the operation and features of all services provided, ensuring they understand how to utilize the technology effectively.
  • Identifies opportunities for security enhancements and proposes innovative solutions to improve customer satisfaction and meet their automation needs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid State Driver's License.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exhibits mechanical and technical proficiency relevant to the role.
  • Ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Responsible operation of a company vehicle and management of company assets.
  • Basic mathematical skills for routine calculations.
  • Familiarity with mobile technology and communication devices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Meets company standards for productivity, quality, and safety enhancements.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills and effective troubleshooting techniques.
  • Provides excellent customer service and builds trustful relationships with clients.
  • Maintains professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • Technical school training is preferred.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to safety protocols and promptly reports any safety issues.
  • Accurately collects payments and processes transactions in a timely manner.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb ladders up to 20 feet.
  • Capability to navigate stairs.
  • Experience operating mechanical lift systems to heights of up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and construction settings.
