Job Summary

The Electric Operations team at PG&E Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Operations Restoration Manager to oversee the command and control of outage response management and lead teams of Troubleman (outage, emergency first responders) and distribution control centers involved in system-wide distribution grid monitoring and restoration efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of approximately 125 employees, including Restoration Supervisors and Troubleman, to ensure effective customer relations while dealing with outages in the field.
  • Ensure completion of street light repair in the region within established timeframes and ensure inspection and maintenance of distribution line equipment is completed annually in compliance with company standards.
  • Manage the execution of the regional restoration financial plan, monitoring overall budget including unit cost actuals versus plan.
  • Oversee restoration teams for a region of the service territory, ensuring the maximum numbers of customers are restored in the safest, most efficient manner.
  • Partner with peers, staff departments, matrix organizations, and outside agencies to improve overall business results, developing and implementing process improvements.

Requirements

  • High School or GED.
  • Eight (8) years of total related experience (or combination business experience/education).
  • Three to Five (3-5) years supervisory experience over union represented employees in the utility industry.
  • California Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in electric construction, restoration, operations, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of PG&E restoration procedures.
  • Strong change management skills.
  • Knowledge of Field Automation System (FAS) and Outage Information System (OIS).
