Position Overview

The Water Business Line at AECOM is seeking a dynamic and innovative Project Manager - Water Resources Engineer specializing in the design of water and wastewater infrastructure. This role emphasizes extensive engineering expertise in municipal conveyance and pumping systems.

This position presents a unique opportunity to engage in client business development, lead project delivery, and mentor emerging engineering talent by utilizing exceptional regional and national water/wastewater engineering knowledge to enhance AECOM's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project management tasks, including scoping, task coordination, invoicing, and project closure. Organize, schedule, and conduct detailed phases of engineering work for major projects or multiple smaller projects.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineering staff.
  • Engage in planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services, focusing on municipal water and wastewater conveyance and pumping systems.
  • Facilitate communication of project tasks across offices, requiring strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Deliver technical presentations to stakeholders.
  • Manage the planning and design of various project components, including the preparation of project reports, hydraulic models, calculations, drawings, construction plans, specifications, and permitting documentation.
  • Supervise construction phase engineering services.
  • Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory bodies, and the public to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Possession of a valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

A valid driver's license is required, and candidates must pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review as a condition of employment.
