Position Overview
The Water Business Line at AECOM is seeking a dynamic and innovative Project Manager - Water Resources Engineer specializing in the design of water and wastewater infrastructure. This role is essential for enhancing our capabilities in municipal conveyance and pumping systems.
This position presents a unique opportunity to drive client engagement, lead project delivery, and mentor emerging engineering talent. The successful candidate will leverage extensive regional and national expertise in water and wastewater engineering to support the growth of AECOM's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project management tasks, including scope definition, task coordination, invoicing, and project closure.
- Guide and develop junior engineering staff through mentorship.
- Engage in planning, design, permitting, and construction services, focusing on municipal water and wastewater systems.
- Facilitate effective communication of project tasks across various offices, requiring strong coordination skills.
- Deliver technical presentations to stakeholders.
- Manage the preparation of project documentation, including reports, hydraulic models, calculations, and construction specifications.
- Provide oversight during the construction phase of projects.
- Collaborate with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory bodies, and community members to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
Possession of a valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
A valid driver's license is required, and candidates must pass a motor vehicle records review as part of the employment process.
