Job Summary

This role is responsible for fostering a positive and engaging work environment at Jay Peak Resort. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing programs to enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and overall experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, events, and activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and communications for employee events.
  • Work closely with the HR coordinator to oversee employee recognition programs, event registrations, and event management.
  • Maintain and evaluate employee perks and recognition programming to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Compose and distribute employee announcements and notices through various channels, including social media and email.
  • Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee departure and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and administer surveys to monitor employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Organize and facilitate resort employee orientations and training sessions.
  • Maintain knowledge and administration of company policies and procedures, including the employee handbook.
  • Oversee the employee cycle from recruitment to separation to monitor engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to create training programs for staff development.
  • Manage the resort's job description library and ensure that all descriptions are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Work with the director to analyze wage and salary reports and other data to determine a competitive and equitable compensation plan.
  • Assist the director in overseeing and managing the performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity.
  • Provide advice to management teams on how to correct poor performance, employee misconduct, and employee relations issues.
  • Work to resolve employee grievances and appeals.
  • Participate in employee investigations and maintain necessary documentation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess a bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of related experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
