Job Summary:

Vermont Employer seeks a Correctional Services Specialist to provide direct supervision of incarcerated individuals in a correctional facility. This role involves preparing individuals for their future release back to the community when eligible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise incarcerated individuals in a correctional facility
  • Work closely with local probation offices, courts, law enforcement agencies, and other state agencies to provide services for incarcerated individuals
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and implement plans for offender rehabilitation
  • Conduct regular evaluations and assessments of offender progress
  • Provide guidance and support to offenders to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services or criminal justice field
  • Two years or more of experience in a role assigned to work directly with a client population in a human services setting on a full-time basis
  • OR High school graduation or equivalent and four years or more of experience in a role assigned to work directly with a client population in a human services setting on a full-time basis
