Role Responsibilities:

The individual in this role will be tasked with efficiently managing customer service functions, which encompass but are not limited to: processing orders and addressing customer inquiries and complaints related to ACO products.

Essential Duties:

  • Respond to inquiries from customers and sales personnel regarding order statuses, product details, invoicing issues, availability, pricing, and shipping costs.
  • Prepare documentation for returned goods and credit requests.
  • Process customer payments via credit card.
  • Provide knowledgeable support to customers regarding our products and their applications.
  • Handle incoming sales calls professionally.
  • Ensure effective communication with customers, management, and sales representatives.
  • Process sample requests from sales managers and distributors.
  • Accurately enter purchase orders, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and generating order confirmations.
  • Prepare and follow up on customer quotations.
  • Coordinate special pricing or handling instructions by reviewing quotes and drawings against orders.
  • Follow up on orders requiring special handling or fabrication, liaising with relevant parties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience, particularly in data entry or order processing within construction, commercial, or manufacturing sectors.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Proficient in writing basic correspondence.
  • Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to follow instructions provided in various formats.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
  • Professional telephone etiquette.
  • Effective communication skills for group settings.
