Role Responsibilities

The individual in this role will be accountable for managing customer service operations efficiently. This includes, but is not limited to, processing orders and addressing customer inquiries and concerns related to the sale and distribution of ACO products.

Essential Duties:

  • Respond to inquiries from customers and sales personnel regarding order statuses, product details, invoicing issues, availability, pricing, and shipping costs.
  • Prepare and manage Returned Goods Authorizations and Credit Requests.
  • Facilitate credit card transactions.
  • Provide knowledgeable support to customers regarding product applications.
  • Handle incoming sales calls professionally.
  • Ensure effective communication with customers, management, and sales representatives.
  • Process sample requests from Area Sales Managers and ACO distributors.
  • Accurately enter purchase orders, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and generating order confirmations.
  • Prepare and follow up on customer quotations.
  • Coordinate special pricing or handling requests by reviewing quotations and drawings, and liaising with relevant departments.
  • Monitor orders requiring special handling or fabrication, maintaining communication with all involved parties.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in customer service, particularly in data entry or order processing within the construction, commercial, or manufacturing sectors.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Proficient in writing basic correspondence.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to perform calculations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to follow instructions provided in various formats.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
  • Professional demeanor in phone communications.
  • Effective verbal communication skills, particularly in group settings.
