Pay Grade: 11 Salary: $70,000 / year

Job Summary:
As an Event Catering Supervisor, you will oversee the Catering Department, ensuring all operations run smoothly. This includes training new staff, managing event setups, and directing temporary personnel alongside their regular duties.

You will guarantee excellent service to clients during events, which encompasses proper setup, cleaning, and breakdown procedures.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise all catering operations related to events, including logistics, quality enhancement, sanitation, and facility management.
2. Collaborate with the Chef to develop menus.
3. Train catering staff in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer relations.
4. Monitor labor and food costs for each event.
5. Maintain effective communication with management, clients, and staff to foster strong relationships.

6. Assist in managing all foodservice-related activities.

7. Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in food service, including at least 1 year in a management role.
2. Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or related food service operations.
3. Ability to plan, execute, and bill for catering events, including upscale receptions with full bar service.
4. Familiarity with food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost control, and presentation.
5. Capability to lift and push 50 lbs and maneuver carts across large areas.
6. Proficient in computer skills and knowledgeable in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Google Drive.
7. ServSafe Certification.
