Position Summary: The Catering Captain is responsible for coordinating the catering staff's schedules to ensure timely delivery, service, and cleanup of all catering functions. This role includes preparing and serving food under the guidance of the Catering Director and may involve transporting food and beverages to various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess catering orders to determine staffing needs.
  • Collaborate with event leaders to finalize setup details and address any last-minute adjustments.
  • Engage with clients to address inquiries and resolve any service-related issues.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of menu offerings.
  • Guide staff on expectations for catering events.
  • Assist in arranging venues according to specifications.
  • Deliver food and supplies to designated areas.
  • Serve food and beverages to attendees.
  • Return leftover food, beverages, and equipment to the catering facility.
  • Ensure food presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance in compliance with health standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all catering equipment and supplies.
  • Follow approved recipes and production standards for food preparation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A valid driver's license may be necessary. Candidates must be able to obtain any required food handler's or alcohol server's permits as mandated by local regulations.
