Job Summary

Overview: Responsible for coordinating catering staff schedules to ensure timely delivery, service, and cleanup of all functions. Prepares and serves food at scheduled events under the guidance of the Catering Director. May be required to drive a vehicle to deliver food and beverages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess workload requirements based on catering orders.
  • Meet with event leaders to discuss setup arrangements and address last-minute changes.
  • Engage with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu items.
  • Instruct staff on expectations for catered events.
  • Assist staff in setting up rooms according to specifications.
  • Assemble and deliver food and supplies to designated locations.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests.
  • Return food, beverages, and serving equipment to the catering facility.
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; adhere to HACCP standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Ensure food preparation aligns with approved recipes and production standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A valid driver's license may be required. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit as required by state law.
