Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Bakersfield City School District. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our staff and students, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and assembling reports, letters, and other documents
  • Provide typing and record-keeping services, including data entry and filing
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and relay messages to staff and students
  • Operate office equipment, including computers, printers, and copiers
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Typing certificate with a minimum of 40 net words per minute
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work in a busy office environment and may be required to travel to different locations within the district.
