Job Overview:

Position Summary:

The role involves guiding, mentoring, and training teams on performance aligned with Agile principles, practices, and methodologies to enhance squad value delivery. Collaborating with the squad leader, the position entails managing a backlog, addressing obstacles, and facilitating Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, Sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. The role also includes coordinating release management and participating in scaling ceremonies and activities, managing interdependencies across squads and product domains. The focus is on analyzing and driving team performance through metrics and identifying opportunities for the squad to fully leverage the advantages of an Agile framework. The individual will support the squad by engaging with all team members and product area leadership to reinforce and integrate Agile approaches and principles into daily operations. Additionally, the role coordinates the efforts of multiple systems teams to deliver a seamlessly integrated solution to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates Agile Scrum events including stand-ups, program increments, sprint planning, release planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Manages customer projects and activities by liaising with clients for software product development and support.
  • Assists product and platform owners and development teams in achieving customer satisfaction and delivering advanced analytics platforms.
  • Plans and organizes project timelines and assigns tasks for multiple projects.
  • Reviews and validates labor/service charges to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analyzes user requirements and software specifications to assess the feasibility of designs within time and budget constraints.
  • Establishes system performance benchmarks.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a closely related field, accompanied by five (5) years of experience as a Senior Manager, Product Manager (or similar role) identifying critical applications, assessing complexity, and preparing phased migration plans utilizing Agile methodologies.

Alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a closely related field, along with three (3) years of experience as a Senior Manager, Product Manager (or similar role) identifying critical applications, assessing complexity, and preparing phased migration plans utilizing Agile methodologies.

Skills and Expertise:

The candidate must also demonstrate:

  • Proven expertise in developing and managing Agile and Program Increment planning for large client implementation projects; coordinating and facilitating Agile methodologies and practices, including quarterly planning, backlog creation, story estimation, sprint and release planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, utilizing tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Jira Align, Mural, and Flow Metrics.
  • Experience in researching, optimizing, developing, and documenting technical solution requirements, user stories, and specifications for moderate to complex financial applications in an Agile development environment, using MS Office Suite, RTC, Clarity, and Planview.
  • Capability in coordinating and program managing Agile ceremonies throughout complex multi-squad product delivery programs; developing and coordinating Agile maturity and health assessments; and facilitating Value Stream Mapping across product areas.
  • Experience in guiding Scrum of Scrums to manage dependencies across the product area; facilitating the prioritization and resolution of impediments for cross-team dependencies, release planning, and change/incident management using ServiceNow.
