Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting Proficiency: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to provide vital information to executives, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Comprehensive Accounting Oversight: Manage various accounting functions, including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, credit and collections, general ledger, investments, and taxation.
- Reconciliation Expertise: Lead reconciliation activities for revenue reports, general ledgers, balance sheet accounts, suspense postings, and fixed-asset and pre-paid expense ledgers.
- Daily and Monthly Financial Operations: Ensure the review of daily balance sheets, preparation of daily and monthly journal entries, and contribute to an accurate month-end close.
- CECL Analysis Leadership: Spearhead the analysis and reconciliation of current expected credit losses (CECL).
- Budgeting and Forecasting Collaboration: Work together on developing budgets and forecasts, monitor performance against objectives, and provide insightful variance analysis.
- Financial Systems Management: Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of financial systems (e.g., ERP software) to support accurate and efficient financial operations.
- Specialized Projects: Conduct specialized accounting studies, analyses, and projects as directed by management, maintaining complex computer-based analyses and reports.
- Internal Control Development: Establish and uphold internal control procedures to protect company assets, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and minimize the risk of fraud or error.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including task assignments, work reviews, performance evaluations, and facilitating professional development opportunities.
- Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and implement best practices, including the automation of routine tasks.
- Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Professional proficiency in English; Spanish fluency is preferred, but not required.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in QuickBooks, advanced Excel, and other Microsoft Office products.
- Experience in analyzing multi-system outputs.
- Ability to quickly learn various software applications.
- Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to learn quickly and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
