Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Finance and Collections Intern to become a part of our Accounts Receivable team.

The primary objective of this internship is to assist the team with various administrative duties, deliver customer service, and manage collections.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity for individuals keen to gain insights into financial operations and acquire hands-on experience in accounts receivable within a dynamic environment.

LeadsOnline is an innovative digital platform that empowers law enforcement professionals and analysts to enhance criminal investigations through access to the latest data on individuals and assets across the United States. Our services also aid businesses in simplifying their reporting processes.

In 2022, we expanded our capabilities by acquiring Hawk Analytics, the provider of CellHawk, which excels in mapping and analyzing Call Detail Records and other location-based digital evidence. CellHawk plays a crucial role in swiftly deriving insights from complex digital data to link suspects to criminal activities.

In 2023, we further enhanced our offerings by acquiring Forensic Technology, the trailblazer in automated ballistic identification and the creator of the IBIS (Integrated Ballistic Identification System) technology. Their suite of solutions, which includes hardware, software, and 3-D microscopy, is utilized in over 80 countries to identify connections between gun-related offenses.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Support:
  • Assist the finance team during the implementation of Workday Adaptive Planning by conducting data validation and testing of reports, models, and functionalities.
  • Help coordinate interim audit activities, including the collection and submission of PBC items.
  • Support the month-end closing process by aiding in the preparation of specific deliverables.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on company-wide initiatives.

Administrative Assistance:
  • Send necessary documentation to clients (W9, COI, Sole Source letter, ACH bank letter).
  • Complete ACH forms as required by clients.
  • Fill out Vendor forms.
  • Respond to inquiries in the accounting mailbox.
  • Retrieve contracts from payment systems.
  • Verify contract details in Ironclad for legacy contracts (Dates/Amounts).
  • Update Agency IDs in payment systems to align with Manager (CRM).
  • Ensure agencies have accurate accounting information.

Customer Service:
  • Update billing contacts in Manager (CRM).
  • Create renewal quotes.
  • Field responses from targeted outreach efforts.
  • Notify clients transitioning from Comerica to Chase Bank for Electronic Fund Transfers.

Collections:
  • Process credit card payments and maintain receipts in payment systems for record-keeping.
  • Handle check processing.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Update Manager (CRM) regarding payment statuses.
  • Manage the Focus List by conducting the majority of manual outreach.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • High School diploma.
  • Prior experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consistently convey positive energy, enthusiasm, and confidence with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and a true team player.

  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Must reside locally.
